Duties

The duties include:

• Receiving the call for the budget for internal operating programs and preparing instructions for use by the organization.
• Working closely with operating officials to ensure complete understanding and compliance with basic requirements.
• Receiving the call for the budget for Medical center's programs and interpreting it in light of agency policy and regulations.
• Preparing annual budget formulation documents and ensuring all reconciliations are made.
• Preparing budget estimates for Medical Center's salaries, supplies, and services.
• Reviewing historical data and current trends to validate and consolidate requests and estimates for an integrated budget.
• Resolving complex problems of predication and forecasting.
• Assembling and developing background data and documentation in support of requested program budgets.
• Preparing or editing narrative justifications and projected funding needs.
• Analyzing and forecasting for customers such as the agency and the public.
• Performing operational program budget execution duties.
• Entering budgetary data into various forms, schedules, and reports.
• Recommending and making adjustments when required.
• Preparing reports of analysis, making recommendations for remedial action.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Promotion Potential:

The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level GS-11 without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

Work Schedule:

7:30am - 4:00pm - Monday - Friday
