Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments to evaluate students’ psychological and emotional needs.
  • \n
  • Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing emotional well-being, addressing mental health issues, and facilitating integration into the school community.
  • \n
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for conditions such as ASD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma, through both individual and group therapy sessions.

  • Providing crisis intervention and immediate support during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization for students in distress.
  • \n
  • Facilitating psychoeducation for students and families, equipping them with knowledge about mental health conditions and available resources for support.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation of assessments and treatment plans according to both ethical and legal standards.
  • \n
  • Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss student progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with students who are part of the special education system, addressing a wide spectrum of mental health challenges. This demographic often includes individuals with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, as well as those who have experienced trauma. Your work will significantly impact their educational experience and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • A valid LCSW licensure in the state of Illinois.
  • \n
  • A solid understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, including trauma-informed care.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing effective treatment plans based on individual assessments.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, the following experience is preferred and will enhance your candidacy:

  • At least two years of post-licensure experience working with children or adolescents in a clinical or school setting.

  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting group therapy and using diverse therapeutic techniques to engage students.

Compensation and Benefits\n
