Sous Chef | AMFM Healthcare

AMFM Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at our private residential treatment facilities. In this vital role, you'll help nourish clients on their journey toward recovery by preparing delicious, well-balanced meals in a supportive and therapeutic environment. This position will work under our Head Chef.

Location: Los Angeles county, California (Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills Estate). This position will be required to travel to our various facilities in the area to deliver meals.

Status and Compensation: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt | $24-$28/hour.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00am-6:30pm.

What You'll Do:

• Preparing and serving lunch and dinner daily for clients and staff
• Coordinating meal delivery across multiple residential sites
• Guiding breakfast and weekend meal service procedures
• Maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards
• Adapting meals to accommodate individual dietary restrictions
• Managing food inventory, purchasing, and expense reconciliation
• Creating weekly menus that are both nutritious and satisfying
• Keeping a respectful and positive attitude with clients and staff
• Ensuring compliance with all county, state, and ServSafe standards

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe Manager Certification preferred)
• Possess valid driver's license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 23 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by the company, state, or federal guidelines
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 40 pounds)
• Experience preparing meals in a residential or healthcare setting preferred
