The person in this role will prepare individual and small business tax returns, review financial documents, and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Daily responsibilities include gathering and verifying client information, analyzing income and expense data, identifying eligible deductions and credits, and accurately completing tax forms using tax preparation software. The Tax Preparer will communicate with clients to clarify documentation, explain tax outcomes, and respond to questions professionally. Additional duties may include maintaining organized records, supporting internal quality reviews, and staying up to date with federal and state tax changes.\n\nCompensation is commission-based: The successful candidate will receive performance-based incentives aligned with accuracy, client satisfaction, and timely filing. At IVY'S LEGACY AGENCY, we offer ongoing training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for advancement in a collaborative, tax-focused team environment.\n\nQualifications:\n\n Active PTIN\n Strong tax preparation skills, including experience preparing individual and small business tax returns.\n Knowledge of tax law and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply federal and state tax rules.\n Ability to work with financial statements and related documentation to ensure accurate reporting.\n Foundational understanding of finance and its impact on tax planning and compliance.\n Proficiency with tax preparation software and standard office applications.\n Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.\n Clear written and verbal communication skills and a strong client service orientation.\n Ability to work independently and manage confidential information responsibly.\n Relevant certification (e.g., IRS Annual Filing Season Program, Enrolled Agent) or prior professional tax experience preferred.\n Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred but not required with equivalent experience.\n\n
