The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas.We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments.BackgroundWork closely with co-workers, supervisor, and senior manager to account for settlement of Plains Marketing L.P.’s barrel movements.Essential FunctionsPreparation of Settlement Confirmation Schedules by updating internal databaseUtilize Settlement Confirmation Schedules to communicate amounts due from and due tocustomers assigned, and confirm the netting positionIdentify and follow up on discrepancies with customers and forward to Contracts or Crude OilAccounting departmentCommunicate volume and price information that may require accruals be made by Crude OilAccounting departmentReconcile confirmed net amounts with the Master ReconciliationReconcile aged accounts receivable/trade accounts payable for assigned customersUpdate Control Log to identify discrepancies in a timely mannerDistribute sales invoices and royalty check detail to assigned accountantsUpdate crude oil prices and gravity in an accurate and timely mannerObtain documents requested by auditorsPrepare related party disclosure schedulesMaintain procedural documentation on a current basisBe willing to work overtime during the monthly closeWork with minimal supervision in all aspects of jobRequirementsAccounting/Auditing or Finance degree required. Knowledge and understanding of crude oil business is helpful.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate orally an in writing with all levels of management.Team player and responsible individual who takes initiative/ownership in all areas of work.Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word required.Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference check.Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
