Audio Visual Technician

Audio Visual TechnicianColorado Springs Christian Schools is seeking a reliable and flexible Audio Visual Technician to support live events including chapels, performances, and school programs. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in live production, event technology, or gaining hands-on A/V experience in a team-oriented environment.Schedule & Work EnvironmentHours vary based on the event schedule; typically 5–15 hours per week, with up to 40 hours per week during extended "Tech Week" periods (which may last up to 4 weeks)Peak times include school events, performances, and chapel servicesSchedule will fluctuate week-to-week based on production and event needsOccasional travel to Woodland Park campusEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and tear down audio and lighting equipment for eventsSupport chapels, school productions, and special eventsAssist with sound, microphones, and basic lighting during live eventsMaintain and organize A/V equipmentProvide support to staff and visiting groups using A/V systemsHelp troubleshoot basic technical issuesProvide a high level of customer service and servant leadership at all timesAll other duties assignedCommits and fully supports the missional and organizational standards including our Core Values, Mission Statement and Doctrinal Statement, and the Statement of Faith and Christian BeliefsAdditional Qualifications, Skills and Responsibilities*Evidence of spiritual maturity and strong grasp of Christian biblical truthsThrough effective communication, build healthy, effective relationships with fellow staff members and studentsUnderstanding of various audio mixers, speakers, lighting and acousticsInterest or experience in audio, lighting, or live event productionWillingness to learn (training provided)Dependable and able to work evenings and occasional weekendsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to lift and move equipment as needed*Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent / Principal may find appropriate and acceptable or other background demonstrating application of the qualifications and skills.
