Must-Have:
- Experience in outpatient infusion
- Skills in accessing/managing ports and administration of medications


Description:
Perm candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.
An ASAP start is required to cover a leave of absence.
This position is for an Ambulatory Infusion Center RN.
First-time travelers are accepted.
The schedule consists of 4x10 days with no weekends or holidays.
Patient diagnoses include oncology, multiple sclerosis, gastrointestinal, neurological, transplant, and obstetric cases.
Required skills include infusion and emergency treatment for reactions, administration of iron, and drugs for multiple sclerosis, gastrointestinal, neurological, and transplant patients, as well as fluid management.
Daily patient census is approximately 25.
The unit has 13 beds and sees about 25 visits per day.
Special equipment and training will be provided for Tysabri administration if necessary.
Two references covering one year are required during the compliance process prior to starting.
Modules are non-billable and should be completed pre-start and annually.
Completion time is self-reported, and records are maintained in training transcripts.
