Location: Edison, NJ Our client, a well-established e-commerce company specializing in consumer products, is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing & Content Our client, a well-established e-commerce company specializing in consumer products, is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing & Content to drive digital marketing initiatives, enhance the online customer experience, and support continued e-commerce growth. This highly visible role will be responsible for executing SEO, content marketing, email, social media, and digital campaigns while establishing a more structured marketing function. The ideal candidate will bring strong e-commerce experience, a hands-on approach, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with the opportunity to build and lead a marketing team over time. Responsibilities Include Develop and execute digital marketing initiatives to drive e-commerce traffic, customer engagement, conversion, and revenue growth. Lead hands-on SEO and content marketing efforts, including website content, product pages, blog articles, and digital campaigns. Manage email marketing, SMS, organic social media, and other customer engagement initiatives. Optimize website content, customer journeys, and the overall online shopping experience. Monitor digital marketing performance, analyze key metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement. Work directly within e-commerce and marketing platforms to execute campaigns, manage content, and support day-to-day marketing activities. Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to establish marketing processes, improve efficiencies, and identify future resource needs. Help build and eventually lead a marketing team while remaining actively involved in execution. Ideal Candidate Will Have Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. Strong digital marketing experience within an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer business. Hands-on expertise in SEO, content marketing, website optimization, email, SMS, and social media. Experience with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms and content management tools such as PageFly a plus. Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social publishing tools, Canva or Adobe Photoshop; Jira and Confluence a plus. Strong analytical skills with experience measuring traffic, conversion, campaign performance, and revenue growth. Entrepreneurial, self-directed approach with the ability to execute independently and build a marketing function over time.
