ReceptionistPart-Time ReceptionistReports to: PrincipalTerms of Employment: Part-Time (20 hours per week)Salary: $16.07 per hourFLSA Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-ExemptQualifications:Associate's Degree preferredTraining and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesSupervises:NoneEssential Job Functions:Answers phone calls in a pleasant, informed manner for the purpose of providing information and creating a good image of the districtManages telephone message system (office hours, inclement weather and other recorded messages)Greets visitors to the school in a pleasant and informed mannerResponds to inquiries for the purpose of referrals and directions as may be requiredForwards requests for information and messages to the appropriate individualsMaintains office meeting calendar and schedules meetings held at schoolMaintains, sorts and distributes mail for schoolOperates postage machine and orders postage when neededAssists personnel with the mailing and distribution of various documents and communicationPerforms other clerical tasks as assigned including word processing and creating databases, etc.Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisorPhysical and Cognitive Requirements:The major physical and cognitive requirements listed below are applicable to the Receptionist job classification within Hoke County Schools.
