Liquor Associate FT

Job Summary This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, consistent operating conditions and a friendly atmosphere. Position Title Liquor Store Associate – Full Time Responsibilities Compliance (50%) Observe customers and verify identification for age restrictions; monitor customers for open containers. Deny sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers. Customer Excellence (25%) Continuously attend to customers’ needs. Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly and courteously. Offer product suggestions when appropriate. Operational Excellence (25%) Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control. Restock and manage supplies efficiently to reduce waste and lower costs. Operate department equipment and cashier system accurately, recognize all tender types and provide correct change. Maintain a clean, orderly work area; report faulty equipment and hazards to management. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education : High School or GED. Preferred Education : High School diploma. Languages : English required; English and Spanish preferred. Experience : No supervisory experience required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities At least 21 years of age. Completion of TIPS training before start date. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; follow instructions accurately. Authorization to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check. Compliance with all company policies and procedures. High integrity and reliability. Basic computer skills for online training. Strong customer service skills. Capacity to work in a fast-paced, busy environment. Environmental Factors Physical demands include regular standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching up to waist level or overhead, and lifting loads up to 70 lbs. Employees may work indoor or outdoor, in hot, cold, wet or humid conditions. Safety risks involve lying back/neck twisting, slipping, hazardous equipment, and exposure to noise, dust, fumes, cleaning solutions, and sharp objects. Protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, and protective apparel is required. A pull of 250 lbs and a lift of 70 lbs may be necessary.
