Eligibility Specialist II Requisition No: 879063 Agency: Children and Families Pay Plan: Career Service Position Number: 60066556 Salary: $34,760.00 Posting Closing Date: July 15, 2026 Responsibilities This position provides support to the unit supervisor and plays an important role in helping strengthen case accuracy, staff development, and overall program performance. Review cases Provide feedback Train and mentor staff Assist with complaints Process complex cases Review Quality Control and monitoring data Support fair hearing reviews Participate in committees, workgroups, and community activities Qualifications To qualify, applicants must currently be employed in an ESS I position or above and have at least 18 months of experience determining eligibility for public assistance programs, including Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Assistance, Medicaid, and Refugee Assistance. This includes processing applications or reviews from receipt to disposition. Strong knowledge of Food Assistance and Medicaid policy and procedures is preferred. Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy. Travel The selected candidate will need to travel to Marathon, FL twice a week.
