- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute or chronic illnesses either independently or in conjunction with physicians (depending on credentials)
- Providing education to patients and families on wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
- Prescribing therapies and medications within your clinical scope
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care
- Documenting patient interactions accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Oregon
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willing to obtain within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical judgement paired with a nurturing bedside demeanor
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and medical staff
- Flexibility in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies
