Nuclear Medicine TechnologistAt Franciscan Health, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the execution of Nuclear Medicine procedures. This position prepares, administers, and measures radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment.Franciscan Health is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and promoting health and wellness in our community. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers who provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.What You Can Expect:Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms.Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.Complete all exams, procedures, and therapies in nuclear medicine.Obtain the most optimal images and evaluate, process and submit for physician interpretation, according to policy and protocol.Confirm patient identity, and obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results.Perform venous punctures, utilize universal precautions while administering radiopharmaceuticals.Practice established safety guidelines, and utilize ALARA radiation reduction tools and techniques.Qualifications:Associate's Degree - RequiredBachelor's Degree - PreferredBasic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart AssociationCertified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) - Required, ORNuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-N) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - RequiredNuclear Medicine Technologist - State Licensing Board - RequiredTravel is required: Never or RarelyEqual Opportunity EmployerIt is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law.
