Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in South Charleston, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel OR RN – Day Shift | WVU Medicine Setting: Acute Care / One Day Surgery Shift: Days | Monday–Friday Hours: 8-hour shifts, approximately 6:45 AM–3:15 PM Charting: Epic BSN Required: No License Required at Submission: No Unit Details 6 OR suites Average 22 cases/day Hospital orientation followed by unit orientation with ODS staff Scrubs provided Common Cases Cataracts Corneal transplants Scleral buckle Vitrectomy Minor general surgery Minor spine stabilization procedures Spinal cord stimulators ENT Dental Required Experience Minimum 2 years of OR experience Ophthalmology experience is required Must be able to independently perform cataract and corneal cases Must be comfortable scrubbing and circulating ambulatory surgery procedures Must be flexible to float to other surgical departments as needed Certifications AHA BLS Schedule / Call No self-scheduling Typical shift: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM May be scheduled late or required to stay after 3:00 PM until cases are completed Minimum 1 weekday call shift/week Weekend call may be required up to every other weekend Holiday call rotation required 30-minute call response time Cancellation Policy 13 week assignment: Facility may cancel up to 2 shifts Less than 13 weeks: Facility may cancel up to 1 shift Ideal Candidate Experienced OR RN with strong ophthalmology expertise , particularly cataract and corneal procedures. Candidate should be confident both scrubbing and circulating , comfortable in an ambulatory surgical environment, and flexible with call, late cases, and floating.
