Job Summary:

The housekeeper is responsible in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and infection control in the facility, as well as occasionally assisting other departments, and within the facilities team, as needed.

Shift Hours: Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 1 pm (with occasional weekday coverage for holidays and vacations as needed.)

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Floor maintenance (sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming, mopping, and may include buffing, stripping & waxing, removal of scuff marks etc.).
• Trash collection/cardboard removal and breakdown.
• Cleans beds, furniture, equipment, and surfaces to prevent the spread of infection.
• Disinfects high-touch areas including doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and bathrooms.
• Stocks supplies: Refills soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and other essential items.
• Reports maintenance issues to the maintenance team about broken fixtures or unsafe conditions.
• Other general cleaning, e.g. dusting, cleaning bathrooms, windows, doors, common areas, etc.
• Supports and ensures strictest adherence to best practices, FDA Code of Federal Regulations, ICH (International Conference on Harmonization), GCP (Good Clinical Practices), CenExel standard operating procedures, site working Practices, protocol, and company guidelines and policies.
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The above responsibilities are a general description of the level and nature of the work assigned to this classification and are not to be considered as all inclusive.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior cleaning experience in a healthcare facility.
• Skill in organization.
• Ability to complete tasks with precision and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as functioning as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
• General knowledge of cleaning; products, supplies and techniques.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Working Conditions

1. Indoor, Clinic/Office environment.
2. Essential physical requirements include sitting, typing, standing, walking.
3. Lightly active position, occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
4. Reporting to work, as scheduled, is essential.
5. On site work arrangement.
