Family Support Worker

Responsibilities Essential duties include providing transport for individuals receiving services, including long-distance travel. Assist case managers with completing service referrals, filing and transportation of children to visitation and new placements. Provide families with education/information/training to enhance their awareness of child abuse and neglect, promote family stability and a healthy family system. Assist with scheduling medical and dental appointments for children in care. Ensure transport vehicles are properly maintained and records are up to date on the use of vehicles Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience working in a social, economic, health or rehabilitative, medical, nursing, child development, or child care setting. A college degree or vocational technical training from an accredited institution can substitute for some of the required experience. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance according to state requirements. Must maintain a professional demeanor, respect for authority, exhibit appropriate interaction skills, and maintain confidentiality standards.
