Your focus will be the basic quality-of-life for our residents, so duties such as recording vitals, providing ambulatory assistance, and seeing to hygiene needs will be key in the individualized care. Nurse’s day-to-day will include: Leads a team of direct care providers to ensure appropriate execution of medications and treatments, documentation, teaching, care planning and patient care conferencing in compliance with the Health Campus Policies and Procedures. Visit residents on your assigned unit on a daily basis in order to observe and evaluate each resident’s physical and emotional status. Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment to ensure that an adequate supply is on hand and readily available to meet the needs of the residents. Monitor nursing assistants to ensure that established procedures are followed for the use and disposal of personal protective equipment Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident. Practices good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health. Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members. Strong interpersonal skills, especially when it comes to delivering sensitive information to patients and/or families. Ability to think critically under pressure. Must have and maintain a current, valid RN/LPN license. Possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel. Be able to make independent decisions concerning above job duties. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family member, visitors, government agencies/personnel, vendors, and the general public. Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
