About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Leadership Team. The CFO will be a key steward of the organization's financial health, leading the development and oversight of long-range financial strategy, annual budgets, and forecasts. This role involves ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards, and providing financial insight to support the Foundation's mission and community impact. The CFO will also be responsible for investment and endowment stewardship, including serving as the staff liaison to the Investment Committee, and will lead the financial evaluation and acceptance of complex gifts in partnership with the Development team. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, particularly in a nonprofit or community foundation context, is required. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit fund accounting, and IRS compliance, as well as experience in audit management, financial reporting, and Board-level communication. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, as is a commitment to the mission of the organization and the communities it serves. The CFO will also be responsible for team leadership, risk management, and will participate in the organization's strategic decision-making processes.
