$24.10 - $36.15 The Trauma Registrar is responsible for the identification of all Trauma, Burn and Emergency General Surgery (EGS) patients. Abstracts information from the medical record necessary for the respective registry requirements and codes the diagnoses and procedures in CPT/ICD 9-10 codes. Develops and maintains all statistical databases, generates registry report and maintains Trauma/Burn/EGS registry summaries. Job Requirements & Preferences:

- 8am-5pm

Abstracts information from the medical record necessary for the respective registry requirements and codes the diagnoses and procedures in CPT/ICD 9-10 codes. Develops and maintains all statistical databases, generates registry report and maintains Trauma/Burn/EGS registry summaries. Job Requirements & Preferences:
- High school diploma required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
- Medical Terminology course and Anatomy/Physiology Course with two years of ICD-9/10 coding experience preferred
- Excellent customer services skills
- Knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of databases
- Ability to abstract clinical data from EMR, other sources
- Ability to work effectively as a team
- Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
