Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students with emotional and behavioral challenges in a dedicated emotional support program. This position focuses on students in grades 9–12, most of whom participate in mainstream classes and also receive targeted support in specialized settings. As an integral part of the program, you’ll champion self-regulation skills, coping strategies, successful work habits, and transitions to adulthood.

Key qualifications and skills:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or behavior specialist in school settings
• Comfort and composure when interacting with students whose behaviors may be challenging, withdrawn, or inappropriate
• Ability to confidently supervise small groups or individual students independently, support in large general education classrooms, and assist in specialized emotional support environments
• Strong relationship-building skills—able to earn rapport and trust with older students while maintaining clear expectations
• Coachable, collaborative, and resilient in the face of behavioral and emotional challenges
• Solid high school-level subject knowledge and the ability to support students with academic work using technology

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring student progress and providing individualized academic and behavioral support
• Assisting with implementation of self-regulation and coping skill activities
• Working closely with classroom teachers and emotional support staff to maintain a consistent, supportive learning environment
• Utilizing technology to aid student engagement and work completion
• Encouraging positive social skills and facilitating student transitions throughout the school day

This contract runs through June 10, 2026, with hours from 7:15 AM to 2:25 PM, Monday through Friday.
