NDT Assistants

to join our growing team. As an NDT Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced NDT Technicians inspecting pipelines, pressure vessels, structural steel, and other critical infrastructure. You'll learn how professional NDT inspections are performed using methods such as

radiography, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing

—all without damaging the materials being inspected. You don't need to be an NDT expert to get started.

This isn't designed to be a dead-end entry-level position. You'll learn directly from experienced NDT professionals while building the skills and experience needed to advance in the industry. With training, experience, and certification, your career can progress toward roles such as: NDT Technician – Level II or Level III

Radiography Technician

Ultrasonic Technician

Magnetic Particle / Liquid Penetrant Technician

Lead Technician

Regional Inspector

Project Manager

Your day-to-day work will vary depending on the project, but you'll help our NDT Technicians: Travel to customer job sites, which may include plants, pipelines, refineries, and industrial facilities.

Set up and prepare equipment for inspections.

Assist with radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, leak testing, and visual inspections.

Help assemble equipment, run cables, prepare inspection areas, clean welds, and position testing equipment.

Assist technicians with taking readings and performing examinations.

Learn how to properly use and maintain NDT equipment.

Help identify and document inspection results.

Load, unload, set up, and tear down equipment.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Drive company vehicles when required.

Learn new skills and responsibilities directly from experienced Lead Technicians.

Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your crew.

Professional when interacting with customers and coworkers.

Able to adapt to changing schedules and jobsite conditions.

Experience That Can Translate Well

NDT experience is

NDT is a field-based career, and our work can take you to different job sites and locations. You should be comfortable with: Local and long-distance travel

Overnight and extended assignments

Short-notice call-outs

Long workdays, including up to 16 hours when required

Working outdoors and in industrial environments

Working at heights and in confined spaces

Hot and cold weather conditions

Standing and walking for extended periods

Frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs.

Occasionally assisting with heavier loads up to 150 lbs.

Safety Comes First

You'll work around industrial equipment, radiation, chemicals, electrical components, moving machinery, heights, and other jobsite hazards. You'll receive direction and training from experienced technicians, but you must be willing to take safety seriously, follow procedures, and look out for your fellow crew members. What You Need

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Valid driver's license

Ability to meet company insurance requirements

Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures

Preferred: Previous work experience in a skilled trade, industrial, mechanical, construction, or similar environment
