- Senior PastorThe Senior Pastor shall lead the congregation, the organizations, the committees, and church staff to perform their tasks, and shall ensure that all guidelines and doctrinal positions of the church as set forth in the bylaws are adhered to and are consistent with the The Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The Senior Pastor is leader of all pastoral ministries of the church. As such he will work with the deacons and church staff to : 1.0) lead the church in the achievement of it’s mission; 2.) lead the church to engage in a fellowship of worship, witness, education, ministry and application; 3.) proclaim the gospel to believers and non-believers; 4.) administer the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as commanded in the New Testament; 5.) care for church members and reach out to other persons in the community. The Senior Pastor is the administrative head of the church and shall have administrative responsibility over all church staff members delegating to them various phases of the work he deems necessary. The Senior Pastor shall have special charge of the pulpit ministry of the church and shall, in cooperation with the deacons, provide for pulpit supply during his absence, and arrange for workers to assist in special services.
