IT Support SpecialistCompany Mission Statement: To build up our communities, our clients and each other by building trust in everything we do.Summary/Objective: Harper General Contractors is a commercial construction company serving the southeast with offices across North and South Carolina. The IT Support Specialist will setup, configure and troubleshoot end-user technology including network, software, hardware, and operating systems. Duties will be performed in both office environments and construction jobsites.Essential Functions:Assist office staff and field users with software and hardware problem resolution.Monitor helpdesk and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response within specified time frames.Document time spent and resolution details in ticketing system.Machine imaging using MDT/WDS/Intune.Windows Active Directory user account creation and management.Issue/replace hardware and software as needed.Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards.Stay up to date with current trends and be prepared to make recommendations.Competencies:A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Windows 10, Office 365, Apple iOS, Networking.Active Directory account management.Credentials and Experience:Associate degree or equivalent experience.Certifications desired.Two to three years' experience in a support capacity in a user-oriented environment.Benefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development opportunities.Supervisory Responsibilities: None.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job on a commercial jobsite, the employee may be exposed to loud noises; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions. Commercial construction sites can be hazardous. Required safety gear and rule adherence mandatory.Physical Demands: Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry necessary IT equipment up to 50 pounds.Travel Required: Travel may be required to remote offices and jobsites.
