Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12.0 Rotating Shift Schedules including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities.

Job Description

The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. This role may include responsibilities as a charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member. Working on a 25-bed unit, the nurse will care for a variety of surgical patients, including those requiring post-operative monitoring and specialized care for pulmonary hypertension patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent care to patients based on established clinical standards.
• Assist in the management and care for surgical and post-operative patients.
• Utilize various medical equipment, tubes, lines, and drains in patient care.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff in clinical practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse license (only New York licenses accepted).
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Two (2) years of telemetry nursing experience required.
