Purchasing Intern (Year-Round)

As a Purchasing Intern, you will contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization efforts within a dynamic automotive environment. Seeking an intern who is available to start as soon as possible and work year-round on a part-time basis throughout the school year pending class schedule, then full-time throughout the summer. Responsibilities Also Include: Assist in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of suppliers for various commodities and services. Support the negotiation of contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage and cost efficiency. Prepare and analyze RFQs (Request for Quotation) and RFPs (Request for Proposal). Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (R&D, Quality, Production, Logistics) to define purchasing needs and optimize supply chain processes. Maintain and update purchasing databases and systems with accurate supplier and pricing information. Participate in cost reduction projects and value analysis initiatives. Support the implementation of purchasing strategies and policies. Generate reports and provide analysis on purchasing activities, market trends, and supplier performance. What You Should Have: You are currently a student enrolled in courses working toward a Business Degree or related field. Join us!
