Equipment Operator

Discover Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located outside Nashville, TN, is looking for an Equipment Operator to join the Agronomy Department. Location: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, Outstanding 980 acres, 375 residences, 18‑hole Tom Fazio‑designed championship golf course. Position: Full‑time hourly role. Starting pay $18‑$20 per hour. Responsibilities Operate equipment including tractors, loaders, backhoes, mowers, sprayers, turf vacs, skip loaders and sprayers. Mow greens, tees, fairways and rough with small power mowers, trimmers, greens mower, tee mowers, fly‑mos and backpack blowers on designated areas. Rake and manicure desert landscape and sand traps. Perform hand mowing, trimming, renovations, construction work, including shoveling and raking. Clean, excavate, back‑fill ditches and trenches with hand tools. Load and unload materials. Lays sod, participates in annual over‑seeding, assists in construction of new greens, tees and fairways. Cleans drains and culverts, sweeps cart paths, collects and empties litter cans. Operate small utility vehicles for hauling mowers and materials, removing debris. Perform janitorial work in cleaning and maintaining a building. Cultivate and water trees and plants. Perform other related groundwork as required and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Prior experience on a golf course maintenance team or similar construction experience. Knowledge of large and small engine operation and repair. Knowledge of hydraulic powered machine operation and repair. Additional Requirements Positive attitude, professional demeanor, exceptional communication & interpersonal skills. Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required. Ability to work in a team environment, stay calm and focused during busiest times. Read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet physical demands: working indoors and outdoors, standing, walking, moving for >8 hours, lifting >50 pounds.
