Nursing Assistant - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours per week.

Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant performs routine tasks in patient care, bedside nursing, and documentation of care provided. The position emphasizes patient and employee safety, adhering to best practices in light of the 10-foot circle of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus according to prescribed diets.
• Assist patients in completing menu selections compliant with prescribed diets, considering food allergies and cultural preferences.
• Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department.
• Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office including answering phones, filing, and maintaining organization of the office.
• Ensure proper levels of office and menu supplies are maintained.
• Participate in team efforts to promote safety and support direct care staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS certification required
• Minimum two (2) years hospital experience, inpatient rehabilitation preferred
