Depending on the terminal and workload, typical weekly gross earnings range from approximately $1,000 to $6,000 , with several markets offering home-daily or primarily home-daily opportunities.

Available Locations & Earning Potential

Savannah, GA – SAV Terminal

Typical weekly pay is approximately $2,800–$5,000+ . Local volume can reach 4–5 moves per day, with Statesboro volume averaging 2–3 moves per day and road freight typically providing one move per day.

Average local moves pay about $140 including FSC , while Atlanta-area moves pay approximately $1,000 including FSC . Drivers have access to a mix of local, road, and regional opportunities.

Chicago / Elwood, IL – ELW Terminal

Typical weekly pay is approximately $6,000 , with drivers generally completing 20–30 moves per week .

Pay per move is approximately $175–$220 , with daily earnings around $1,200. Freight includes Chicago-Elwood crosstown moves, I-55 corridor freight, rail ramp-to-ramp, rail-to-customer moves, and regional freight throughout surrounding Midwest states.

New Orleans, LA – NO Terminal

Freight is approximately 95% drop-and-pick , with work centered around the Port of Houston, Greater Houston, the I-10 corridor, and regional markets. Drivers are generally pre-dispatched the day before, with moves visible in the app.

Subhaulers should be established independent trucking businesses or contractors that can supply their own equipment and qualified drivers while maintaining the regulatory, safety, insurance, and operational standards required by HUDD.

HUDD Subhauler Requirements

To qualify as a HUDD Subhauler/Subcontractor, your operation should:

• Be an independent trucking company, independent contractor, or small fleet owner
• Maintain active operating authority
• Maintain appropriate USDOT/MC authority and acceptable FMCSA status
• Maintain an acceptable FMCSA safety and compliance history
• Provide your own tractor(s)
• Provide your own qualified driver(s)
• Maintain required HUDD insurance coverage
• Be responsible for fuel, tractor maintenance, repairs, and other carrier operating expenses
• Maintain proper apportioned registration/plates , where applicable
• Ensure all drivers supplied to HUDD meet applicable FMCSA qualifications
• Complete and document required drug and alcohol screening
• Complete and document required driver background checks
• Ensure applicable drivers maintain TWIC cards for port work
• Meet terminal, customer, and cargo-specific equipment requirements
• Complete the HUDD carrier/subhauler agreement
• Complete Vendor ID/vendor setup
• Complete settlement/payment setup
• Complete dispatch and operational setup
• Receive HUDD Safety approval
• Complete required training
• Maintain sufficient equipment and driver availability to service committed HUDD freight
