McLeRoy, Inc. is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead preconstruction efforts for heavy civil construction projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced estimator who enjoys influencing project strategy, building backlog, mentoring team members, and partnering closely with operations to drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for heavy civil projects including site development, grading, earthwork, underground utilities, roadway improvements, and infrastructure work.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, production analyses, and bid proposals.
• Evaluate project risks, identify value engineering opportunities, and support project pursuit strategy.
• Build relationships with owners, developers, engineers, municipalities, GC's, and suppliers.
• Lead project turnover meetings and support successful transitions from preconstruction to operations.
• Help improve estimating processes and systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience.
• Strong background in earthwork, utilities, site development, and civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK, Bluebeam, B2W, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, production rates, equipment utilization, and job costing.
• Leadership mindset with the ability to collaborate across estimating, operations, and field teams.
