Cnc Maintenance Technician

Budget and Compensation • Pay rate: $25–$30/hour depending on experience. Higher rate may be considered for highly qualified candidate (i.e. former Mazak field technician). Overtime not guaranteed; may occur in urgent maintenance situations.

Mission: Install new mechanical, electrical or electronic systems and repair or convert existing equipment to new uses. Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electronic power drives and control systems on heavy mechanical equipment (troubleshooting).

Key Functions:

• Experience maintaining and repairing Electrical, Mechanical, & Hydraulic systems/components in these machines:
• Mazak (most critical)
• Mazatrol
• Mitsubishi
• Siemens Control
• Mori Seiki
• QEM
• Nagel TBT
• Schedule & perform maintenance on all NC and manual equipment with no supervision.
• Schedule & perform repairs on all NC and manual equipment including multi-axis lathes and mills.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines using written instructions and a checklist.
• Assist in the installation of new mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Maintain equipment according to procedures, reporting problems or deviations.
• Use of all associated hand tools and automated or semi-automated equipment.
• Ability to train others in functional areas. Assists and prepares detailed reports on maintenance activities.
• Create preventive maintenance checklists for operators to follow.
• Participate in pre-job and toolbox meetings with crew members.
• Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Complete safety training (including but not limited to forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, risk reporting, IT security, and hazardous materials).

Preferred: Education: Minimum high school or equivalency Supervision: Minimal Supervision required.

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 5–10 years of maintenance technician experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Former Mazak field technicians highly preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to document and justify maintenance needs to management.
• Computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams.
• Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred (certification can be provided internally).
• Familiarity with SAP and Brady LINK360 (lockout/tagout system) is a plus.
• Fine electronics/soldering experience is a plus.

Travel Requirements: No travel required. 100% onsite at 7030 Ardmore St, Houston, TX.

Work Environment: 90–95% indoor work in an air-conditioned facility. Physically demanding role with heavy lifting required. All PPE provided by SLB.

Shift/Hours: Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
