The BXMO will practice under the direct supervision and control of a licensed practitioner, only in that practitioner's office. This position is dual role, clinical as a CNA, CMA, LPN or RN under the Clinical Care Coordinator and working under the practitioner for X-rays.Description of Primary Responsibilities1) Responsible for patient carea) Provide necessary medical services to patients of Palms Medical Group (PMG) within his/her scope of practice in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG and Florida State Statute 468.302.b) Maintain the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with up-to-date documentation of services provided.c) Exhibit professionalism when greeting and escorting patients to X-Ray suite.d) Perform basic radiology procedures.e) Provide patients with digital X-Ray discs if indicated.2) Responsible for inventory managementa) Maintain knowledge of inventory procedures and submit any order requests to the VP of Business Continuity & Client Relations and designated Clinical Care Coordinator.b) Maintain X-Ray suite, and order and restock radiological supplies.c) Maintain responsibility for the overall operation of the X-Ray suite.d) Maintain orderly and professional work areas.3) Responsible for administrative dutiesa) Maintain X-Ray tracking logs.b) Observe and follow OSHA standards and PMG Infection Control/Safety protocol.c) Promptly fax orders to Doctor's Imaging Group along with patient encounter form before releasing the patient from the clinic.d) Assist the Clinical Care Coordinator, VP of Practice Management with data collection as necessary.e) Assist with audits, administer and collect surveys, and follow up with red charts as directed by the Clinical Care Coordinator.f) Perform any other duty assigned by the Clinical Care Coordinator, VP of Practice Management or CEO to improve the efficiency of PMG.4) Read and adhere to the Clinical Policy Manual.Description of Primary AttributesGeneral Development:1) Must be organized, self-motivated and detail oriented.2) Job duties require the ability to both works independently and as part of a team.3) May be expected to travel to and provide coverage for other PMG clinics during BXMO absences.4) Assist in the training and mentoring of coworkers by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and supporting skill development.Professional & Technical Knowledge:1) Exhibit competency when utilizing the following equipment:Radiation Protective EquipmentDigital X-RayImage ReceptorsFactor SelectionCopying Digital Image onto a CDECGPFTIn-house hemoglobinLab centrifugeAEDAutoclaveVital Sign MachineNebulizer and accessoriesBlood GlucometerINRIn-house hemoglobin A1cOxygen tanks and accessories2) Comply with job competencies and skill checkoffs as part of annual evaluation.3) Expected to navigate and operate Microsoft Office suite products, including Word and Excel, and demonstrate other basic computer proficiency.Licenses & Certifications:1) High School Diploma or Equivalent2) Current Basic X-Ray Machine Operators License (BXMO) in the State of Florida3) Minimum of one (1) year experience in Primary Care setting preferred4) Current BLS (basic life support) Certification5) Current CNA, CMA, LPN or RNCommunications Skills:Effectively communicates complex and/or technical information to co-workers, patients and/or vendorsPhysical/Mental/Emotional Demands:Standing for long periods of timeSitting for long periods of timeViewing a computer monitor for long periods of timeBendingStretching / ReachingWalking short distancesLifting up to 50 poundsOperating office equipment (computer, fax machines, telephones and copy machines)Reading forms / Instructions / Patients ChartsCommunicating well to people of various ages, educational levels, cultural backgrounds in person or by telephoneExposure to potentially violent / irate patientsHealth / Safety Consideration of PositionExposure to chemical infectious / contagious illnessExposure to chemical and inhalation of antibiotics during reconstitutionExposure to X-Ray radiationExposure to a variety of scents and odorsMust utilize universal precaution in clinical or exposure situations as prescribed by federal state, and local guidelines and /or laws
