PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. Join an experienced imaging team in a supportive rural hospital environment. You'll have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with radiologists, physicians, and fellow imaging professionals.
Unlike many larger metro facilities, this role allows you to practice the full scope of Nuclear Medicine, including generator elution, radiopharmaceutical preparation, quality control, image acquisition, and patient care.
Candidates with experience in an additional imaging modality are highly encouraged to apply.

What you’ll do
- Perform all routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.
- Operate computer and nuclear medicine equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
- Prepares, calibrates, and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol.
- Maintain records of receipt, dispensing, and disposal of radioactive materials. Maintain records of equipment quality control, radiation monitoring, and surveys.
- Performs other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned consistent with caregiver’s scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring
- Accredited Program Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year prior experience preferred
- Demonstrated venipuncture competency
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CNMT or ARRT-N are acceptable).
- Basic Life Support
- Food Handler’s Card

Working Conditions: Physical duties include frequent movement, patient care activities, and handling equipment up to 30 lbs. Exposure to biohazard, bodily fluids and airborne contaminants. Requires effective communication, vision, and hearing (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
