About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Data & AI Officer to take on a pivotal role in shaping and executing the enterprise data strategy, data governance, and AI enablement. This senior executive position is responsible for building the data foundation that will support the company's technology strategy and ensuring the responsible adoption of AI across all business functions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technology leadership, with a focus on data and AI, and a proven track record in operating within a regulated financial institution. Key responsibilities include defining and executing the data strategy, establishing data as a trusted enterprise asset, leading the AI Center of Excellence, and overseeing data engineering and architecture. The role also involves executive and regulatory engagement, and the ideal candidate will have experience presenting to boards of directors and engaging with financial regulators. Applicants for the Chief Data & AI Officer role at the company should have at least 15 years' of progressive technology leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years' in a senior data or AI leadership position. A deep technical expertise in data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and data lake/data warehouse strategy is essential, as is a working knowledge of enterprise AI/ML frameworks and cloud data platforms. The role requires a leader with strong executive communication skills, the ability to build and develop a multi-disciplinary technical team, and a proven track record in building trust with business partners. Preferred qualifications include experience in a federally regulated financial institution, familiarity with regulatory expectations around data management, and an advanced degree in a related field. The Chief Data & AI Officer will be a key player in the company's risk management and regulatory reporting, and will have a direct impact on the company's competitive position.
