Precision Sheet Metal Fabricator is looking for a highly effective Production Manager to lead and manage Sheetmetal fabrication, Machining, Assembly, and Paint Shop. This is a regular full-time salary position, with benefits, paid sick time, vacation time, 401(k) plan. Starting Salary is will be based on experience, knowledge, and background.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Plan & Schedule the resources (people & equipment) to maintain production schedules and on time deliveries.
• Responsible for Training Shop Foreman’s and Department Leeds.
• Responsible for all shop employees.
• Responsible for all production process quality, safety, equipment, and shop security.
• Identifying opportunities for implementing solutions for a continual improvement of the shop floor.
• Drive the production team to achieve established targets for Takt time, production numbers and on-time shipments.
• Lead by example of positive reinforcement.
• Maintain the highest product quality and manufacturing yield while ensuring optimal use of resources and adherences to best safety practices.
• Accurately recording and reporting production data and quality control compliance.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and team building skills.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing industry, preferably in complex mechanical or high-tech products with lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing. 
• Experience supervising the manufacturing floor at the process.
• At least 5 years supervisory/management experience.
• A stable work history

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:

• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as lean and 5S
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Excel Spreadsheets, computer literacy
• Knowledge of team building and resource management 
• English and Spanish (a plus)

Educational Background:

• AA or BS
• Technical Training or Schooling (A Plus)
