Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position requiring 1-2 years of experience and NBCOT/NM licensure.

Details

• Home health setting serving adult and geriatric patients
• Caseload of 8-12 assigned patients
• 5x8 day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call requirement
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• No floating to sister facilities
• Mileage territory of 35 miles, reimbursed at federal IRS standard mileage rate
• Cerner charting system used

Requirements

• Current NM OT license required, if applicable
• NBCOT certification required
• BLS certification required
• MOAB certification required (training provided during first week if not already certified, must pass to retain contract)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience
• Pending state license accepted
• Non-local candidates only, must reside outside 100-mile radius

Additional Information

• Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital, short-term acute care facility with 554 staffed beds
• Second set of fingerprints required upon arrival for CYFD compliance due to potential presence of children in homes
• Skills include ADLs, adaptive equipment, home assessment, wheelchair evaluation, orthopedic rehab, and neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injury
• COVID vaccine optional but facility reports vaccination numbers; vaccine series or declination form required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling accommodation not guaranteed
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• Light blue scrub color required
• No parking fee
• New contracts and extensions require minimum 10-week commitment
• 6-month system break required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments
• 12-month separation required for former staff
