Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Night Shift)

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room. The ideal candidate must float between units and possess the required certifications and experience.

Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends are required — 6 weekends per 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Room. The ideal candidate must float between units and possess the required certifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency room, managing a patient ratio of 1:3.
• Conduct assessments and manage care for patients with a variety of emergencies, including strokes, chest pain, and trauma.
• Administer medication and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records through the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid state nursing license (Compact license required).
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications are required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Experience with stroke and trauma patients is preferred.
• Ability to manage ventilated patients and perform central line care is highly desirable.
