Company Description Holistic Health Associates is a multidisciplinary holistic health practice specializing in massage therapy, acupuncture, and integrative wellness services. The team provides nutrition counseling, skin care, reflexology, coaching, and other complementary health services to clients in Frederick, Maryland and the surrounding communities. Programs are designed to support long-term health through sustainable lifestyle changes and personalized care. Areas of focus include chronic pain, athletic injuries, fertility, stress and anxiety, depression, weight management, and women’s health. The practice emphasizes collaborative, patient-centered treatment in a supportive and professional environment. Role Description The Licensed Acupuncturist will provide high-quality, patient-centered acupuncture and related services to support holistic health and wellness. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive intakes, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal recommendations where appropriate. The role also involves documenting treatments accurately, coordinating care with other practitioners, and educating clients on lifestyle and self-care strategies that complement their treatment. The Licensed Acupuncturist will contribute to a collaborative clinical environment, participate in practice-building activities, and uphold all regulatory and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Frederick, MD. You will benefit from the training you will receive from Senior practitioners at a clinic with over 60 years of combined experience. Qualifications Strong foundation in Medicine and Oriental Medicine, with the ability to integrate holistic and evidence-informed approaches to client care. Demonstrated proficiency in Acupuncture, including assessment, treatment planning, and safe, effective needling techniques. Experience with complementary modalities such as Moxibustion and the therapeutic use of Herbs as part of comprehensive treatment plans. Current licensure as an Acupuncturist in the state of Maryland (or eligibility to obtain), and graduation from an accredited acupuncture or Oriental medicine program. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, explain treatment plans clearly, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Strong documentation and organizational skills, including maintaining accurate clinical records and managing a consistent full-time patient schedule. Commitment to non-discriminatory, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive care; prior experience in areas such as pain management, fertility, or mental health support is a plus.
