Neurologist Job Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree

At least 1 year of clinical experience practicing neurology

Board certification or eligibility in Neurology, consistent with credentialing requirements

Active, unrestricted physician license appropriate for practice in Georgia

Current ABLS, ACLS, and BLS certifications

Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and patient communication skills

EMG experience is welcomed and may be considered an advantage

Outpatient Neurology Physician Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions

Provide comprehensive outpatient neurology consultations and follow-up care

Perform or interpret appropriate diagnostic studies and develop evidence-based treatment plans

Use experience with EMG, nerve conduction studies, EEG, lumbar puncture, and other neurologic procedures when clinically indicated

Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing care

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated, high-quality patient care

Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and meet applicable practice standards
