Policy & Governance Officer

LA26352 PSCA 2024, General Division Level 5, up to $118,960 gross per annum + super + benefits. Full Time – Fixed term until 30 June 2027. About the role Help shape the future of governance, accountability and continuous improvement at Legal Aid WA as a Policy and Governance Officer in the newly established Integrity and Quality Assurance Unit. Develop, implement and review governance frameworks, policies and procedures to support organisational integrity and decision‑making. Provide advice and support on governance and policy matters across Legal Aid WA. Assist with risk management, compliance and reporting/assurance processes. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strengthen organisational accountability. Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to agency‑wide governance initiatives. About you Demonstrated experience in policy development, review and implementation with practical advice to stakeholders. Experience coordinating policy processes and contributing to governance, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives. Strong research, analytical and problem‑solving skills. Highly developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and ability to influence outcomes. Experience designing and delivering policy frameworks, guidance, training or capability‑building initiatives. Capability to consult and collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and professional approach with commitment to accountability, integrity, social justice and governance.
