They will drive inside sales efforts by training and coaching branch staff in cross‑selling existing customers to improve overall branch business development effectiveness. This position reports to the Head of Retail Banking Essential Functions & Responsibilities The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading and growing a newly established Charlotte, North Carolina branch. Key responsibilities include: Drive business development and sales performance to achieve branch growth and profitability goals. Generate new commercial deposit business and support small business development initiatives. Train, coach, and mentor branch staff in sales, cross‑selling, and customer service strategies. Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations while ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Build strong internal and external relationships, drive customer retention, and represent the bank in the community. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and branch performance metrics to implement effective strategies. Conduct regular sales and service meetings to develop staff skills and support overall Retail strategy. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of commercial banking experience Strong leadership, interpersonal, and new business development skills Experience in the Charlotte market with a proven track record of driving sales growth and building strong community relationships Must have a portable book of business and an established referral network. Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
