Phlebotomist

Overview Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) has an opening for a Phlebotomist. This on-site role is located at the White River Junction VA Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. The Phlebotomist will perform onsite phlebotomy and specimen processing as part of the laboratory team. Responsibilities May work in multiple areas of the lab as determined by the needs of the service; provide patient phlebotomy for inpatient rounds, inpatients and outpatients, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, ASAP, and timed draws. Perform sample processing and outbound preparation of specimens. Positively identify patients prior to sample collection and before testing or aliquoting; ensure accuracy of patient information in electronic and paper records. Identify, document, and resolve collection or processing issues. Provide patient-centered care in a professional manner to maintain service quality and minimize complaints. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of recent phlebotomy experience Certificate in Phlebotomy Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently Active BLS (AHA Preferred) Card Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship Ability to obtain a public trust #J-18808-Ljbffr Prometheus Federal Services (PFS)
