Press Operator

Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and safety proceduresLoad raw materials and monitor machine cycles for optimal operationInspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure conformity to specificationsMake necessary adjustments to press equipment to maintain quality and output standardsInterpret production orders, part drawings, and technical specificationsPerform routine preventive maintenance and report mechanical issues as neededMaintain accurate documentation for production output, scrap, and downtimeEnsure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirementsAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures; use PPE as requiredParticipate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives within the departmentRequired Qualifications:Education:High school diploma or GEDExperience:1+ year of experience operating press machinery in a manufacturing environmentSkills and Competencies:Basic understanding of press operations, materials handling, and mechanical adjustmentsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and measurement toolsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructionsGood physical condition (standing for long periods, lifting up to 40lbs, repetitive motion)Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical operationsFamiliarity with progressive die and punch press operationsForklift certificationExperience working under Lean Manufacturing or 5S principlesWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Manufacturing floor environment: exposure to noise, grease, heat, and moving machineryMay require shift work, weekends, or overtime based on production demandsPPE required (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.)Ability to lift and carry up to [e.g., 40 lbs]Prolonged standing and manual dexterityVisual acuity for inspection and reading measurementsCVG IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERCommercial Vehicle Group, Inc (CVG) is an equal employment opportunity employer such that all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.Visa SponsorshipAt this time, we are not providing sponsorship for this role.
