Registered Nurse - Oncology

$2448.00/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a medical-surgical oncology unit. Deliver patient-centered services with a focus on safety, clinical efficiency, and compassionate care. Responsibilities: Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to physician orders and established protocols. Monitor, assess, and document patient condition, including vital signs and response to treatments. Perform procedures such as IV/PICC line placements, wound vac changes, drain removals, Foley catheter insertions/removals, and NG tube management. Collaborate with team members including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and clinical care coordinators to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech electronic health records and adhere to unit policies. Follow infection control practices and ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Qualifications: Current RN license with relevant state certification. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical-surgical units. BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Skilled in patient assessment, clinical procedures, and documentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude. Comfortable with equipment such as I-med, Neurons vitals machine, Wound vac, and surgical drains.
