Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a medical-surgical oncology unit. Deliver patient-centered services with a focus on safety, clinical efficiency, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and wound care according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition, including vital signs and response to treatments.
• Perform procedures such as IV/PICC line placements, wound vac changes, drain removals, Foley catheter insertions/removals, and NG tube management.
• Collaborate with team members including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and clinical care coordinators to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech electronic health records and adhere to unit policies.
• Follow infection control practices and ensure compliance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with relevant state certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or medical-surgical units.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Skilled in patient assessment, clinical procedures, and documentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable with equipment such as I-med, Neurons vitals machine, Wound vac, and surgical drains.
