Requirements
- Physician Assistant (PA) with current Florida license without restrictions or disciplinary actions.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to practice under physician supervision and collaboration.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in using Windows PCs and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel).

Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of clinical experience as a PA, but recent graduates will be considered.
- Experience in secretarial work, front desk reception and administrative assistance.
- Experience in using Electronic Health Record software, especially eClinicalWorks.
- Functional Spanish for interacting with patients.

Work Schedule
- Part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM, with the office open to patients from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Flexible scheduling: Total hours will vary week to week based on patient volume, and full five-day workweeks will not always be required.

Compensation
$40 - 45 per hour, paid biweekly.

Expectations
- Conduct comprehensive patient physical assessments and physicals, including detailed history-taking, HPI documentation, and clinical decision-making to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on imaging and lab work.
- Manage medications prescribed by the physician, including completing prior authorizations and monitoring patient response to treatment.
- Perform and document patient evaluations within the EMR, ensuring records are accurate and complete.
- Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
- Administer and oversee point-of-care testing, including drug screenings, and ensure proper documentation of results.
- Collaborate with front office staff on scheduling, patient flow, and communication, including appointment reminders and follow-up coordination.
- Ensure proper maintenance and security of patient medical records, both electronic and paper-based, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

- Is able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including handling incoming phone calls with patients and outside parties, without compromising the quality of patient care or administrative duties.
- Demonstrate strong initiative and situational awareness, proactively completing tasks or communicating needs without being prompted.
- Demonstrate compassion and professionalism in all patient interactions.
- Upholds all office policies and physician directives consistently, having sound judgment and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification when needed, while showing the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a clinical environment.
- Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including coordinating referrals and follow-up visits.
- Maintaining strong attendance, arriving on time and limiting absences, as consistent presence is essential to the daily operations of the clinic.
