Banker II

As a Banker at Woodforest National Bank you will serve as a frontline ambassador delivering the Woodforest Experience. You will focus on building and growing retail customer relationships through exceptional service proactive marketing of products and services and consistent execution of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership

Take personal responsibility for delivering strong retail performance by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
Act with accountability in achieving individual sales goals through proactive conversations referrals and marketing outreach both inside and outside the branch.
Demonstrate ownership in resolving customer inquiries or concerns at the first point of contact utilizing internal partners as needed to ensure timely resolution.
Maintain operational excellence through accurate transaction processing account opening and consistent adherence to policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ability to explain complex solutions in a simple to understand way.

Service

Deliver the Woodforest Experience by creating warm welcoming and personalized interactions with every customer every day.
Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand financial needs and clearly explain retail banking products services and digital solutions in a simple easy-to-understand manner.
Provide dependable efficient service while maintaining professionalism composure and a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.
Embrace a technology-driven customer experience by confidently supporting digital banking tools and platforms.

Community

Build strong relationships with customers retail partners and community members by representing Woodforest as a trusted neighborhood bank.
Actively participate in local retail marketing efforts that drive branch traffic deepen customer relationships and support community engagement initiatives.
Collaborate with branch team members to support community events outreach activities and in-store promotions that align with Woodforests community-focused mission.

Integrity

Uphold the highest ethical standards by safeguarding customer confidentiality privacy and sensitive information.
Comply fully with all bank policies procedures security protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Demonstrate honesty transparency and respect in all customer peer and leadership interactions.

Initiative

Perform branch servicing duties including teller transactions cash handling balancing ordering cash vault activities audits ATM servicing and workspace upkeep.
Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy and attention to compliance standards.
Follow branch security procedures and remain vigilant in protecting the bank customers and team members.
Maintain flexibility to support additional retail branch duties and business needs as assigned.

Must be proactive when seeking business outside of the branch.
Must be open to direct coaching and feedback.
Ability to work flexible or extended working hours to meet business needs; demonstrated reliability.
Demonstrate a passion for taking care of people by exhibiting effective problem-solving abilities the ability to maintain composure and convey a positive attitude while interacting with customers as well as internal team members.
Knowledge of/or ability to quickly learn products services policies procedures regulatory guidelines as well as engaging in a sales and service process.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality follow directions and apply proper policies procedures and guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to understand instructions forms applications and be familiar with financial statements and credit reports.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience
Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required
Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback to improve performance
Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on retail branch needs

Formal Education & Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.

No.

Travel:
May be expected to support nearby branches within approximately 45 miles as business needs require.

Working Conditions:
Conditions include standing most of the time may involve walking moving bending stooping or sitting for brief periods and occasionally lifting and carrying items up to 30 lbs.

Technology Requirements:
Must maintain a mobile device compatible with the Cisco Duo app for secure authentication.
