\n \nUMass Memorial Health, the premier health and wellness partner for the people of Central Massachusetts and the largest healthcare system in the region, is seeking passionate and skilled Gastroenterologists to join the UMass Memorial Medical Group. Our team serves both our academic medical center and community-based practices, offering a unique opportunity to blend academic medicine with high-quality community care.
\n \n About the Role:
\n Join a vibrant Division of Gastroenterology composed of 22 faculty members, 2 PhDs, 12 clinical fellows, and 10 advanced practice providers. This position offers a dynamic balance of clinical practice, teaching, research, and administrative leadership opportunities.
Key Highlights:

Clinical practice primarily based in community settings with dedicated service weeks at UMass Memorial Medical Center campus.
\n - \n
Clinic schedule: 2 sessions/week (1 day), seeing an average of 8 patients per session.
\n - \n
Procedural schedule: 6 sessions/week (3 days total).
\n - \n
Academic and administrative time: 2 sessions/week (1 day).
\n - \n
Night call rotation (1:7 call).
\n - \n
Electronic Medical Record system: Epic.
\n - \n
Academic appointment with UMass Chan commensurate with experience.
\n - \n
Opportunities to engage in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and leadership roles.

What We re Looking For:

Board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists holding an MD or DO degree.
\n - \n
Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure.
\n - \n
Demonstrated commitment to outstanding, patient-centered clinical care.
\n - \n
Passion for academic teaching and clinical research.
\n - \n
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based, interdisciplinary environment.

Experience and enthusiasm for growing a community referral practice.
