We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join a team in Metairie, Louisiana in a contract-to-permanent position. The role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment when discussing account balances, and a dependable work style in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a high volume of outbound contact with commercial clients regarding overdue account balances and outstanding invoices.
• Work with customers to secure payment commitments, including immediate resolution or practical installment arrangements when appropriate.
• Record all collection efforts, account notes, customer interactions, and status updates with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Use established call guidance while adjusting tone and approach to fit each conversation and customer situation.
• Communicate professionally with external customers and internal departments to support account resolution and follow-up activities.
• Complete onboarding and ongoing training to build knowledge of collection procedures, performance expectations, and workflow standards.
• Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance, responsiveness to coaching, and a proactive approach to learning the role.• Experience or familiarity with commercial, consumer, or credit collections processes is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive payment conversations effectively.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities in a high-volume collections setting.
• Confidence in following structured processes while using sound judgment during customer interactions.
• Solid documentation skills and attention to detail when updating account activity and payment status.
• Dependable work ethic with a detail-oriented approach and strong commitment to attendance and accountability.
