Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

• Provide evidence-based speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia therapy.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, dietitians, and families to achieve the best outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning.

• Educate residents, caregivers, and staff regarding treatment plans and recommendations.

• Work closely with your Clinical Fellowship mentor to develop your clinical skills and professional competency.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Eligible for Clinical Fellowship (CFY).

• Eligible for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Passion for providing exceptional resident-centered care.

• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatrics is preferred but not required.
