The Senior Project Manager has extensive knowledge and experience within the drywall/steel stud framing industry.The Senior Project Manager will be empowered to manage the existing business in their designated market to ensure long-lasting relationships. The Senior Project Manager will lead and act as a mentor to their Project Team to empower employees to succeed in their role.Essential FunctionsPreconstruction/Estimating/SalesMaintain and enhance Contractor relationships to build new Berg business and be involved in new market development. Manage and grow key client relationships in their designated market.Deep estimating knowledge in the drywall/steel stud and metal framing space and maintains bid activity that supports overall Sr. PM portfolio expectation.Full review of the contract with the Project Manager before submitting it to the Senior Leadership Team for sign-off.Attend pre-construction meetings to understand complete scope while ensuring safety, quality and productions set up to be met.Review scope of work and identify any potential risks or scope gaps from estimate to award.Leveraging and reviewing sub-tier contractors.Maintains strong knowledge of projects and exceeds set standards for their portfolio.Production/ExecutionMonitoring the execution of the project(s) to ensure procedures are followed per company SOPs.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all pertinent information is provided; proactive communication with field leaders on bid productions and other preconstruction-related info and maintains consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.Give advice and direction as needed to their Project Team.Projection of manpower needs to leverage resources, utilizing the information for additional/future projects.Involved in the debriefing of a project.Financial ManagementInvolved in strategic planning to ensure project profitability- communication with the CFO & Executive Team to discuss financial implications, needs, and manage the cash flow to be positioned for success.Financial management of the project portfolio.Review WIP and billing.Financial closeout of the project(s).Strategic VisionParticipates in the development and execution of Berg’s strategic and business plan including achievement of key objectives.Establish and develops relationships with employees, including the company management team, as well as external partners and stakeholders.Support and continuous improvement of Berg’s high-performance culture.Provide visionary leadership for new ideas and approaches and humbly welcomes ideas to innovate and better Berg from all levels of the organization.LeadershipDevelop trust and maintain a collaborative and supportive leadership presence with your Project Management team.Participate in and support recruitment, hiring, onboarding efforts as appropriate to develop an exceptional regional team.Foster a collaborative culture that enhances employee satisfaction, engagement, and results-orientation while encouraging innovation and creativity.Provide time for regular and effective 1 on 1 meetings with all direct reports.Coach, mentor, and collaborate with direct reports regularly.Establishes and achieves specific, measurable, and obtainable objectives that support Berg's overall growth and profitability objectives while creating client, employee, and company success.Experience and QualificationsMinimum QualificationsExperience as a Project Manager for a minimum of 5 years.Strong commercial steel stud construction project management background.Ability to read and comprehend complex construction documents i.e., blueprints. Base knowledge of document editing software i.e., BlueBeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Plan Grid.Estimating experience and software knowledge; Plexxis is a plus.Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and customers.Ability to read and understand financials.Presentation skills to represent information and updates in a group setting.Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook, Mac iPad.Preferred QualificationsTechnical degree and min 8+ years of related experience in the construction field; or an equivalent mix of education and field experience.Direct Drywall/Steel Stud framing industry (Estimating and Project Management) experienceBachelor’s degree; Construction Management.Detail-oriented, deadline/goal-driven.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.Sedentary WorkSedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 - 15 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying.Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.TravelUp to 20% primarily in their designated Market.Ability to complete regular day travel for site visits and client meetings.The Berg Group is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws #J-18808-Ljbffr
