Fleet Mechanic

FLEET MECHANIC - Pay: $24.05-$29.80 per hour with verifiable experience

Pay: $31.05-$34.80 per hour with qualifying degree or verifiable experience

Job Description
• Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair
• Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and parts
• Perform maintenance work to DOT standards for over the road equipment
• Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane, and battery powered engines/equipment
• General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units
• Perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections
• Clean and maintain the work area and equipment
• Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of standard practices, equipment, and tools of the fleet equipment trade
• Knowledge of forklift and automobile mechanical electrical systems
• Ability to lift 75+lbs
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to work independently or with help
• Basic welding and maintenance experience
• Ability to maintain Full time work schedule
• Must be able to work at faster pace
